Community Assistance Council is the only comprehensive social services agency located in south Kansas City. CAC serves KCMO from 85th Street south including all of the Hickman Mills and Center School Districts. Services includes homeless prevention with emergency rent and utilities assistance, food pantry, clothing closet, case management, life skills classes and more. Through The Family Stability Initiative, CAC provides a combination of these services for Hickman Mills families to reduce student mobility, absenteeism and behavior and emotional issues; and increase student attendance, achievement and family stability.
