The mission of the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and prevent sexual violence in the community. MOCSA is the only rape crisis center in the greater Kansas City area. The agency serves victims of rape and child sexual abuse across the lifespan with counseling, advocacy, education, crisis line and outreach services. MOCSA programs for child victims of sexual abuse and their families, teen victims of rape and treatment for youth with problematic sexual behaviors have helped thousands of area children heal from sexual trauma using highly effective, evidence-based treatment methods in a trauma-informed, victim-centered environment.
