The Center School District is a public school district serving a diverse population of nearly 2,600 students and their families in South Kansas City. The district serves an urban demographic with over 70% minority students and over 74% qualifying for free or reduced lunches per federal income guidelines. In addition to academic instruction, the district also addresses the social, emotional and mental health issues that students face in order to help them be successful in school and life.
