Bernadette Thompson, LPC, LCPC, CSC

Program Officer

Bernadette has spent many years working within the academic environment in various capacities, including substitute teaching, training faculty on academic engagement practices, and being part of an Executive Leadership Team at a local charter school, where she was responsible for creating a comprehensive counseling program. She is keenly aware of the many challenges families face today and the corresponding impact on children socially, emotionally, and psychologically. In addition to being a Certified K-12 School Counselor, she is licensed as a Professional Counselor in both Missouri and Kansas. With an undergraduate and graduate degree in psychology, she is currently completing her capstone project for an Education Specialist degree.  Bernadette is passionate about incorporating culturally affirming, trauma-informed practices into all K-12 environments to cultivate healthier children, leading to a healthier society.
